The New Canvas

The long way back to where I began.
Madhu Kamath — Designs and Infra. My first canvas was Artificial Intelligence, studied as part of Computer Science Engineering. My latest canvas is AI again. In between, a couture womenswear boutique, real estate and project delivery kept me occupied. Curiosity remained. The canvas changed.

People sometimes assume that my recent work means I have moved into technology. The truth is quieter than that.

Artificial intelligence is part of how I work now, but I have never seen it as the point. It is a tool, in the way a pencil, a floor plan or a spreadsheet is a tool. It helps me think, test and build more quickly. It does not replace the judgement, the care or the human questions underneath.

That is how everything on this website is made. The subjects change. The method does not.

Understand the system.
Simplify it.
Improve it for the person who has to live inside it.

Looking back, one detail still surprises me. My final-year engineering project explored Computer-Aided Hospital Management. At the time, it was simply a university project. Life then carried me through entrepreneurship, design and property development. Three decades later, I found myself back in healthcare, this time not as an engineer but as someone experiencing the system from within. The technology has changed beyond recognition. The questions that first interested me have not.

I didn't return because healthcare became fashionable or because artificial intelligence emerged. I returned because life eventually placed me on the other side of the system I had once studied.

The canvas has changed many times.
This is simply the newest one.
What I bring to it has not changed at all.

Attention, curiosity, and a wish to leave things a little clearer than I found them.
