Who is Madhu Kamath?

The canvas changed. The curiosity remained.

I have often been asked how architecture, fashion, property development, healthcare, finance and technology all found their way onto one website.

The short answer is that I never planned it.

Like most people, I simply moved from one chapter of life to the next. Only when I stopped to look back did I realise those chapters had been quietly talking to one another all along.

The industries were different. The questions were remarkably similar.

How do people live better?
How do they make better decisions?
Why do some systems feel effortless while others become unnecessarily complicated?
And what happens when we take the time to understand them properly?

For nearly three decades my work was tangible. I designed homes, interiors, fashion and businesses. Things people could see, touch and experience.

Life eventually introduced me to very different challenges. Navigating countries, healthcare systems and decisions that were far more personal than anything I had built before.

The problems changed. My way of approaching them did not.

I have never been interested in staying inside one profession. Looking back, I realise I was never really designing buildings or running businesses. I was learning how people interact with the systems around them.

A home is a system.
A business is a system.
Healthcare is a system.
Finance is a system.
Technology is another way of helping people understand and navigate those systems.

The projects are different. The thinking is the same.

That is why this website exists. Not as a portfolio. Not as a memoir. Certainly not as a collection of unrelated projects. It is a place where the different parts of my life can finally sit beside one another.

Some were built. Some are still evolving. Some exist because life asked a question that refused to leave me alone. Together they tell a story that no résumé ever could.

You'll find Smritinsha here, a project that reflects my years in design and development. You'll find Pulse and Cross-Border Decisioning, shaped by the realities of living and making decisions across countries. You'll find Health Intelligence, born from asking how health information can become clearer and more useful to the people who need it most. You'll find Beyond the Numbers, a reflection on what years inside a clinical trial taught me about research, healthcare and the people who quietly make both possible.

Different subjects. The same instinct to understand, simplify and improve.

People still ask me what I do. I don't have a single title that feels quite right.

Designer.
Entrepreneur.
Developer.
Mother.

Each describes a chapter. None describes the whole story.

If there is one thread that connects everything on this website, it is curiosity.
The canvas kept changing.
The curiosity never did.

I don't know where it will lead me next. Experience suggests I'll probably follow it.
